Here's another promising rock lyric from a late section of Joyce's Ulysses, where everything is presented in Q&A format. This entire lyric is presented (in paragraph form) as an answer to the question: "Example?"
"Woman with new hat"
She disliked umbrella with rain,
he liked woman with umbrella,
she disliked new hat with rain,
he liked woman with new hat,
he bought new hat with rain,
she carried umbrella with new hat.
Yeah, you could do pretty much anything with a lyric like that.
More in this series
"Restless. Solitary." (maybe after Samuel Barber)
"I'm tired of all them rocks in the sea"
